Located in Balzan, the welcoming home Dar Merhba Bik, run by the Good Shepherd Sisters, offers shelter to female victims of domestic violence, as well as their children. Providing not only shelter but also support, the team there helps the women to feel empowered and establish a way of life for themselves, aiding them to develop to their full potential. Consider making a monetary donation, though useful items such as clothing are also appreciated.
Association for Abandoned Animals (AAA)
The AAA is an establishment filled with warmth and love, providing a home and a second chance to about 95 abandoned dogs at a time. After the dogs are taken in for shelter, they're treated for any injuries or illnesses which they may have, and are then placed for adoption. There is no time limit for which the dogs remain under the care of the AAA. Donate here.
