Thursday 2nd December: 138 new COVID-19 cases and 61 recoveries registered overnight

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 138 new cases in the past 24 hours.

The islands have registered 61 recoveries, meaning that the country’s total number of active cases now stands at 1,290.

The post also noted that until yesterday, 1st December, Malta had administered 962,678 vaccine doses. 124,074 of these were booster doses.

No COVID-19 patients passed away in the past 24 hours. This means that the country’s virus death toll remains at 468.

A total of 11 patients are being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, two of whom are in ITU.
