Thursday 24th September: 42 new cases & 18 recoveries of COVID-19 for Malta
The Health Ministry has just published official figures.

According to the figures published by the Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, Malta has registered 42 new cases of COVID-19 after 2,303 swabs were done in the past 24 hours.

The post also noted that, “Today’s cases are still being investigated. From yesterday’s cases: 13 cases were family members of previously known cases, 3 cases were direct contacts of other positive cases, 2 cases were of work colleagues of a previously known case and 3 cases were from social gatherings with other positive cases.”

The islands have registered 18 more recoveries, bringing the total recovery tally to 2,191 and the number of active cases to 680. Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 2,898 cases and has performed 240,387 swab tests.
