In a live interview with Times of Malta, Prof. Charmaine Gauci confirmed that there is indeed an amount of active cases in Gozo. While she couldn’t give the figures, she did confirm that there are cases on Malta’s sister isle but thankfully none are admitted.

She explained that now that people are moving between Malta and Gozo more frequently, with people holidaying on Malta’s sister isle, cases in Gozo are not surprising. She said this is why there are mitigation measure aboard the Gozo Channel, stressing the importance of wearing a mask and social distancing while on the ferry. Remember folks – wearing a mask or visor on the ferry is obligatory!
