1. Burgers.Ink - Valletta

"Whenever I go to Valletta I just have to stop by Is-Suq tal-Belt and have a nice KETO-friendly burger. The choices are sublime, prepared fresh and delivered with a smile. Last time I was there I had what is called the Cow & Chicken - beef patty, chicken patty, bacon, melted cheese, spicy peanut butter and mayo sauce - served with a side of double fried halloumi fries with sour cream sauce. I love the amazing setting in the heart of Valletta, where I find myself constantly waving at people I know and them joining me for a coffee or one of my fries...Naturally, one can’t forget the pancakes with sweet-tooth satisfying sauces and all kinds of toppings from our favourite chocolate bars!"

2. 1926 Beach Club - Sliema

"This Lido offers genuine service with a smile. The food is delicious and they host a huge variety of events - from parties to salsa night to live bands - all in the beautiful setting of Qui-Si-Sana seafront in Sliema. I love the fact that the management are so cool and enthusiastic about delivering fresh ideas to the world of lidos and not just (as I like to call it) ”BOOM BOOM BOOM!”. The pool is very relaxing and the lido itself is very clean and comfortable."

3. Tex Mex South - Marsaxlokk

"I’m a fan of the whole Tex Mex brand - especially their ribs and the generous (to say the least!) portions of Nachos topped with beef, pork, refried beans and guacamole - OMG! I like Tex Mex South the most of all three venues, as it is in its own little world in Marsaxlokk but not in the centre where it's too busy. The setting is lovely and welcoming, staff are friendly and there is live music three to four nights a week in autumn, winter and spring. The amazing selection of speciality meats, fish and lobster can’t be forgotten, and once you’re done with an amazing dinner you can head up to Oyster Lounge where you can enjoy the unique Tex Mex Party vibe and the view of Marsaxlokk Harbour."

4. Ta’ Marija Restaurant - Mosta

"Completely different from the above mentioned places! I love to go to Marija because the recipes are so loyal to the traditional recipes that my grandparents used to cook. It brings with it a lot of nostalgia...The restaurant is run by Ben, the son of the only recently late Marija, and together with his staff they give the warmest and most charming approach to the catering industry, jam packed with Maltese tradition...I want some ravioli now!"

5. The Daily Grub - Naxxar

"Many people who follow me on Instagram know that I am following a KETO diet, which means it is high in fat, regular protein and then very little carbohydrates. One of the many reasons I like The Daily Grub is that you can literally build your own salad from scratch. They have this amazingly wide selection of freshly prepared salad items - from the usual greens to types of cheeses, olives, cured, steamed and grilled meats, nuts and seeds. Whenever I haven’t had time to prepare my own food at home (which happens quite often!) I head down to The Daily Grub. Also, my friends love it because whilst I am eating my food they indulge in the variety of exquisite food ranging from burritos to burgers, risottos to grills…Also, after the gym it is my go-to place for a good detox drink or protein shake with a lot of oomph!"

Wow, your enthusiasm alone is making us hungry! Thanks Kurt and well done on your latest hit!
