Storm’s approaching! Malta could be hit with another thunderstorm this afternoon
Stay safe!

Ergajna! It seems Malta could be hit with another kind of storm this afternoon. According to Maltese Islands Weather, thunderstorms or isolated showers are approaching, which could affect Malta.

“A narrow band of thunderstorms is approaching the Maltese Islands from the east. These should arrive by mid-afternoon. If this makes it, expect rain which may be heavy and thundery at times. If this doesn't make it, more may form later on,” they explained.

“These are the residual showers we talked about in last evening's update. Please appreciate the fact that, as forecast, the rain is becoming increasingly isolated and may thus not affect all places.”

They also posted a clarification in the comments section. “There's no one big storm. They're more like isolated showers which may continue to form in the coming hours with one or two of them possibly affecting land. The worst is over. Providing a time is impossible, as the showers will be sporadic.”
