Villa Luginsland is officially off the market! After 5 years of being available for over €4 million, the palace found in Gorg Borg Olivier Street (also known as Busketto Road) in Rabat has new owners and will be given a new lease on life.

“Proud to have successfully brokered the sale of this really unique gem often spoken about in this group,” says Stefan Consiglio in the Facebook group Id-Day Maltija. “Villa Luginsland in Rabat will undergo an enormous restoration project, retaining all of its beautiful features and restoring it to its former glory with the addition of a perfectly landscaped garden with a large number of new trees,” he announced.

A little about the palazzino

The jaw-dropping residential palace was built in the early 20th century by renowned architect Francesco Zammit, commissioned by Baron von Tucker, the then-German consul for Malta. Photos of Villa Luginsland give an ethereal atmosphere, showing progressive surroundings, while the palace seemingly rooted in centuries gone by.

The palace, spanning 11 acres of land, still retains typical features including magnificent frescoes, artworks by the famous Giuseppe Cali, an enchanting facade, five to six bedrooms, three bathrooms, three toilet staff quarters (read that again), an entirely separate cottage on the grounds, two garages, stables (yup), and an olive pressing room. Fit for a queen, ha nghidlek! According to Perry Real Estate Agents, it’s going to have an “immense heritage value” once restoration is complete.

We’d kill for a sneak peek once it’s all complete. We can only imagine the grandeur!
