“Shocking beyond shocking” - Puppies rescued from abusive Zejtun breeder receiving care at AAA
Poor babies!

Jillian Mallia

Four dogs have been rescued from an abusive breeder in Zejtun following a joint operation between Animal Welfare and the Environmental Health Department. The breeder will reportedly be charged in court after abusing eight dogs at his residence. That aside, thankfully the dogs have been rescued and four of them are now being treated at the Association for Abandoned Animals (AAA).

“Saying they are in terrible condition is not even explaining it. Shocking beyond shocking. Animal welfare said they will be taking the breeder to court. We have no words for the criminals who are doing this animal abuse just for money. Lowest of low, you cruel disgusting person,” AAA shared in a Facebook post, sharing photos and information on the dogs and their conditions in other posts.

Ollie

Ollie is completely blind, with one “beyond infected and the other burst.” AAA have shared that the “vet will decide if both eyes need removal or just one. The pain he must be in is terrible.” Ollie also has sandfly, rotten teeth and gums, suffers to eat and has a skin infection. Treatment has already started.

Elton

This cutie has a skin infection that is making him shed fur. Elton has an “ear infection and is tilting his head in pain.” Adding to the list, he’s also got a gum infection and missing teeth. Treatment has started, too.

Joey

How you doin’, Joey? Considering, he is “the one in the best condition” from the four of the pups. Joey has a dental infection as well as missing teeth, but not to worry – treatment has begun to help this guy get back on his feet.

Benny

Poor pup! Benny has an eye infection with the other eye being extremely dry. He’s also sandfly positive, has a skin infection, as well as dental disease and broken teeth.

“We will promise these four lovelies that their sad past is behind them as we will love them and treat them.”

You can help puppies like Ollie, Elton, Joey and Benny, too!
