'Save the date' - Russell Crowe set to make special appearance in Malta this June
Russell Crowe just announced in a tweet that he will be coming back to Malta on June 17th, 2023. Leaving his announcement super cryptic, he urges fans to ‘save the date’ and include St George’s Square in Valletta as a venue. However, we’re sure that he will be announcing more details soon!
Speculations are in the mix as we speak. Some think that this Gladiator star might be visiting Malta with his band, The Gentlemen Barbers since he will be setting out on tour throughout May and early June.
Previously promising that he will make a Europe appearance, this could be the reason for Russel Crowe’s visit. In fact, comments on his tweets are already asking when the dates for other cities will be announced, taking it as a confirmation that his Malta visit is, in fact, a concert.
The actor always loved Malta being introduced to it 24 years ago during his Oscar-winning role in Gladiator. His appearance in Malta will also coincide with the filming of the Gladiator sequel, expected to start in mid-June. The film will be shoot in Malta for around four months. However, Russell Crowe has already ruled himself out from this sequel.
Time will tell what Russell Crowe will be up to during his visit!
