Don Royale occupies a prime seafront position on the coast road at St George's Bay, where the dining terrace looks directly across the water with Dragonara Point as its backdrop. Chef Patron Marvin Gauci built the concept around the trattoria format — authentic Italian cooking prepared by Italian chefs, sourcing quality ingredients as a non-negotiable — while adding Maltese-inspired specials that give the menu a distinctive local dimension. Pizzas can be ordered in the traditional round form or as Pinsa Romana, a lighter Roman variant popular on the island. The pasta, burgers, fresh fish and grilled meats cover the range from casual dinners to celebrations. In-house sourdough bread baked daily has become one of the restaurant's signatures, and live music on certain evenings reinforces the convivial atmosphere that defines the Don Royale experience.
