Remembering Matthew Demicoli, the 17-year-old who tragically passed away 5 years ago

Five years ago, students were shocked to learn that Matthew Demicoli had suddenly passed away. Today, friends have shared tributes on socials to the loving young man.

“5 whole years today sweet angel. Missed always especially on this day. ‘There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart.’ Rest easy my love,” one friend shared.

“Not a single day goes by that we don’t cherish our memories with you,” another friend shares. “Can’t believe it’s been 5 years already, rest in peace my brother.”

“Five whole years of missing you shining star!” another friend shared on socials. “This world is not the same without you around! I wish you could just know that and know how much we love you.”

Matthew was walking to Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary when he collapsed and died outside the school. It was confirmed that he had passed away of to natural causes. He was just 17 years of age.
