A decades-old advert of the once successful Riviera Hotel in Ghajn Tuffieha has taken the ‘Nostalgia Malta’ Facebook group by storm.
Shared by a certain Adelaide Galea, the advert shows off said hotel pleasantly overlooking the Ghajn Tuffieha (Riviera) bay whilst listing its main selling points.

The Riviera Hotel, also knows as Riviera Martinique, referred to itself as “an ideal health resort” famous for its “view and cuisine”. The advert went on to highlight that “all rooms and dining rooms” overlook “the prettiest sandy beach in Malta”.
Other selling points that The Riviera Hotel pushed include the fact that it’s “open all year round” and “only 11 miles from Valletta”.

A stay at this establishment would cost you 18 shillings per day. At an extra daily cost, guests could also get their hands on a rental car throughout their stay.
