Malta International Airport is set to reopen in exactly a month.
Yesterday, Tourism Minister Julia Farrugia Portelli teased that Malta will be operating flights to and from 19 different countries and we can now finally reveal which destinations can make it to your summer travel plans.
Travel arrangements have been secured with Sardenia, Iceland, Slovakia, Sicily, Cyprus, Lithuania, Israel, Latvia, Norway, Switzerland, Estonia, Denmark, Hungary, Austria, Luxembourg, Germany, Czech Republic, Finland and Ireland
Popular destinations such as Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom have been omitted from the first batch of commercial flights announced.
Asked about swabbing procedures for incoming tourists, the Prime Minister revealed passengers landing in Malta will not be swabbed.
