Photoshop pros! 8 times the Maltese poked fun at local situations with brilliant photo edits
The results are hilarious and sometimes, a little too close to the truth for comfort.

The Maltese are known for their particular sense of humour, and it often comes across in taking the mickey out of themselves and their country (although of course, it's only OK if we're the ones that do it!) Don't believe me? Here are eight of the best Photoshopped photos by locals poking fun at current situations.

1. Filfla

With all the construction happening around our islands, some think that the next big project should take place on the islet of Filfla!

3. Road block?

Remember the floating mobile toilet in the middle of the road a little while back? A popular edit that day was this hilarious ‘road block’ photo!

4. Swimmers

Another flood-related edit! Swimmers practising for their swim meet… in the flooded streets of Msida?!

5. Dwejra

A little salt in the wound, but this is a hilarious take on the destruction (or is it reconstruction) of the much-beloved Azure Window!

6. Time to eat!

“Hungry and fancying take-away? I like my orders to be quick and easy,” and so does the national football team, it seems!

7. Meet me in Venice!

It seems that some locals find similarities in Malta and other countries... so much so that they’ve edited the streets of Rabat to resemble the canals in Venice!

8. Traffic solved!

Traffic? No problem! Gozo’s aqueducts have been transformed into a monorail – a possible solution? Only time will tell!
