We’re loving the summer weather and all that comes with it - namely taking our butts down to the beach to soak up that glorious Mediterranean sun. Here are GuideMeMalta’s fav beaches around Malta and Gozo.

1. Ghadira Bay, Mellieha

Ghadira is a top choice for us and for many beach-goers. With three bays to choose from, it’s no wonder Ghadira is a top contender.

2. Hondoq ir-Rummien, Qala (Gozo)

The beautiful bay in the quiet Gozitain town of Qala is the perfect spot to have a chill day and is great for all the family to enjoy.

3. Ta’ L-Ghazzenin, St Paul’s Bay

The secluded bay is loved by many. Ta’ L-Ghazzenin literally means ‘the lazy people’s bay’ and it’s the ideal beach to have a relaxing (and yes, lazy!) day by the water’s edge.

4. Mgarr ix-Xini (Gozo)

Another popular bay on Malta’s sister isle, Mgarr ix-Xini boasts breath-taking views of the Med. Its watchtower, dating back to the Knights’ period, is another highlight which can be spotted in the distance.

5. Exiles, Sliema

Exiles is a popular spot in central Malta. The rocky beach is flocked to by many on the daily and is great for a quick dip or a whole day listening to the waves crashed subtly on the rocks.

6. Wied iz-Zurrieq

In the south of Malta, Wied iz-Zurrieq is a great spot for a fun day in the sun. This gorgeous place is perfect to dive in the deep blue and get some totally Insta-worthy shots in the process!
