The Malta Airport Foundation launched a 30-minute underwater documentary on Comino, called “Comino: A Secret Paradise,” showing one of Malta’s sister isles in all its glory. The hit summer location has lots to offer on land, but underwater there’s a whole different world waiting to be explored.

The documentary is the latest in a series of underwater documentaries focusing on local Marine Protected Areas. Launched at the Eden Cinemas, the documentary screening was attended by Environment Minister Jose Herrera who stressed the importance of a zero-tolerance approach towards development on Comino.

The Comino documentary, like the previous ones in the series, was scripted by Prof. Alan Deidun, a resident academic at the Department of Geosciences. Previous documentaries include one about Filfla launched in 2015, Mgarr ix-Xini launched in 2013, and Rdum Majjiesa and Dwejra, both launched in 2012.
