You may have heard of Bolt – Europe’s leading on-demand transportation platform with over 25 million users in over 30 countries – but have you heard of its food delivery service, Bolt Food? Well, you’re about to, as it’s just landed in Malta!

The Estonia-headquartered company is all set to introduce the service later this year, starting out in Malta’s central regions before eventually expanding to more cities.

How will it work?

All you need to do to use the new service is download the Bolt Food app. The app will suggest closest restaurants for food delivery based on your location, and there’s quite a few to choose from – it currently offers delivery from more than 80 restaurants!

The localities in the central region of Malta where Bolt Food will start operating will include: Attard, Balzan, Birkirkara, Gharghur, Gzira, Hamrun, Iklin, Lija, Mosta, Msida, Naxxar, Pembroke, San Gwann, Santa Venera, Sliema, Swieqi, Ta’Xbiex and Valletta, with plans to add more restaurants and expand to more areas of the city in the coming months.

Malta is the latest in a string of countries to get Bolt Food, following its launch last summer in Tallinn, Estonia, as well as Latvia and Lithuania, with South Africa to follow later this year. Restaurants and couriers can sign up with Bolt Food at food.bolt.eu.
