Near gale watch?! Here’s what the weather is going to be like this weekend in Malta & Gozo

Heads up, people! It seems like Mother Nature is getting a little tense as she’s sending some pretty strong winds our way this weekend.

According to local weather site Malta Weather, these winds are near gale-like. “Winds are expected to reach Force 7 at times from an easterly to a northnortheasterly direction across Malta and Gozo,” today and tomorrow, Saturday.

The weather experts said that this is “due to the contrast between a low pressure system over northern Africa and high pressure over Europe. Waves are expected to peak at nine metres so don’t park your vehicle along exposed coastlines!” they warn.

So, if you’re heading out for some fresh air by the sea, don’t park too close. And maybe don’t hang the washing outside. Oh, and forget about washing your winds and car today. Next time!
