Over 100 healthcare professionals are currently in quarantine, the Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses (MUMN) president shared, saying they are being deprived of seeing their families.

“New record of healthcare staff being sent on quarantine,” announces MUMN president Paul Pace on Facebook late last night. “More than 100 healthcare staff are currently quarantined, being deprived from their families and children,” he continued. “And this is just the beginning. Winter will be worse,” he notes.

At the end of July, Pace shared that there were over 30 nurses under quarantine at the time. The MUMN first joined the MAM’s industrial action but then suspended it, with Health Minister and Deputy PM welcoming the decision “with open arms.”
