This evening, be sure to visit the picnic area at the Ta’ Qali National Park for an evening of family entertainment, fun games, and sport.

Kids may have gone back to school earlier this week, but that’s not a reason for the fun to stop. Tonight, at the Ta’ Qali National Park – in the Picnic Area – families are being invited to relish in the joys of physical activity and sport,at ‘Lejla fil-Park’ an event designed to promote healthier and sustainable lifestyles.

Lejla fil-Park: a fun evening for all the family
Activities – all of which will be free of charge - start at 6pm, and include games, crafts, as well as other sports activities by sports organisations, including the Malta Special Olympics, the Malta Football Association, Malta Cricket, Badminton Malta and Malta Association of Taekwondo.
Local personalities, DanuSan will compere the evening, while the Żabbar Scout Group and Tama Tnabar Association will be entertaining the crowds.
This event is being organised by the Sustainable Development Directorate, within the Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Enterprise in collaboration with WasteServ and Project Green.
But, it’s not only going to be centred on sport activities, but, rather, there will be practical guidance from representatives from the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Directorate on how to adopt a healthier lifestyle, and enjoy a balanced diet.
The event will also promote sustainability, with entities such as WasteServ, Project Green, the Energy and Water Agency and Ambjent Malta providing information and organising activities related to the environment, and climate change amongst others
Lejla fil-Park’ activity is being organised as part of the European Sustainable Development Week 2023. This year’s theme is ‘Sustainability Starts With Us.’ The activities are aimed at promoting and raising awareness on Sustainable Development and the related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
