Monday 22nd February: 193 new cases & 242 recoveries for Malta

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 193 new cases of COVID-19 after 2,782 swabs were done in the past 24 hours. 

The islands have registered 242 more recoveries, bringing the total recovery tally to 18,309 and the number of active cases to 2,471. Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 21,085 cases and has performed 677,159 swab tests. Over the past 24 hours, a 96-year-old male passed away at Mater Dei. This means Malta's total number of deaths now stands at 305.

The post also noted that until yesterday, 21st February, 64,419 vaccine doses have been administered to various people on the islands. 20,531 of these were second doses.
