Met Office issues weather warning! Force 7 winds & heavy rain expected from TONIGHT
The weather’s about to get a whole lot worse…

GuideMeMalta.com

Meteorologists at the Malta International Airport Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning, advising that isolated thundery and gusty showers, possible with hail, are expected to affect the Maltese islands starting tonight.

East-northeast winds are expected to pick up overnight, reaching very strong levels by tomorrow.

And that’s when the rain will really set in...

Forecasters are also expecting heavy rain between tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday evening, with eastern coastal areas predicted to be the most at risk from the rough weather.

MIA forecasters have urged everyone to take the necessary precautions until the weather improves, which is expected to happen from Thursday evening onwards.

Still, that’s not to say there won’t be more rain: isolated showers are forecasted to continue right through to Saturday.
