Goodbye warm clothes and hello AC! It seems like summer will not be very forgiving this year and sweltering weather is well underway.

On Monday (today), Maltese Islands Weather highlighted that, the latest seasonal outlook shows that this year’s summer is likely to be hotter than usual.

“Looking closer at long-term models, we see warmer-than-normal weather over a large part of Europe,” the page said.

It further elaborated that the strongest anomalies and most heatwave tendencies are expected to be over the central and southern parts of the continent, bringing it very close to home.

As pointed out by Maltese Islands Weather, summer in the Malta is very hot and dry, with each year being felt more than the last.

Time to bring out the sunscreen from retirement!
