Local NGO steps in to save six kittens left abandoned in a bag
They were discovered by a passer-by

Six kittens were this afternoon left abandoned in a bag in Tarxien. Following the intervention of one passer-by, who discovered the litter after hearing their meows, the little kittens have now been passed on to CLAWS, a local NGO that supports cat adoptions and welfare.

Taking to Facebook to share the news, the organisation did not hold back from airing its disappointment at witnessing such behaviour: "We are so sad that in this day and age, people still refuse to neuter their cats, and feel it is ok to dump the little ones outside, like rubbish, for others to find. If you do not want the responsibility of kittens, it is very simple - NEUTER YOUR CATS," the post read.

CLAWS also revealed that the kittens will be taken to the vet as they have early signs of flu. Once in good health, the kittens will be put up for adoption.
