Malta’s notorious mood swings for weather changes are surely living up to their name this month.

The Malta International Airport 7-day forecast has issued a yellow ‘strong’ wind forecast for the rest of today.

If you’re one for some good fresh air and a little more than a light breeze then today’s your day! It's forecasted to increase to very strong winds reaching Force 7 over the exposed areas of the Maltese Islands, with gusts of wind coming from the West-Northwest.

Windy Weather incoming

Maltese Islands Weather also took to their social media to warn of Force 8 winds to be expected for tomorrow.

Need an even better reason to cancel your plans tonight? Well here’s one!

The forecast also stated that this will go on till 9pm and may be extended. Meanwhile, it's predicted to be cloudy for the rest of the day, and although we can expect winds to drop down to Force 6, isolated showers and possible lightning and hail are also forecasted for later this evening.

We’re ready with a cuppa to watch the islands light up, are you?
