The man who fell off the Hal Far factory roof has been identified as Raffaele Conte - Italian 40-year-old father of three.

Corriere di Malta, a Maltese website written in the Italian language reported that Conte hailed from Mondragone in Caserta. He was a seasonal worker who moved to Malta for the job just a few weeks ago. He reportedly leaves behind a wife and three children.

Witnesses have reported that the 40-year-old was on top of the roof with his colleagues when he lost his balance and fell four storeys.
