GuideMeMalta's Great Christmas Countdown with... Valentina Rossi
Radio host and local personality Valentina Rossi talks about her love for Christmas day food comas and her resolution to not make any resolutions.

For Valentina, Christmas eve and Christmas day usually consist of...

"It depends. If we're cooking at home, I'll wake up early to prep tables and put final touches on food, then it's all about the wine and chit chat with the family! If we're eating out for lunch THERE IS NO CHANCE that I'll wake up early. I'll sleep in, then get up and go and enjoy the rest of the day out!"

Valentina's Christmas traditions

"We always head out for drinks after lunch. Then I'll go home and probably watch a Christmas movie with Carlo along with a glass of mulled wine."

And her favourite part of the day is...

"THE FOOD COMA!!!! Oh my! I love the feeling of being able to do nothing and just laying on the sofa with my buttons or zip undone and thinking about when I'm actually going to go to the gym."

Valentina's most memorable Christmas present so far was...

"A set of pink cleaning tools. My mum was wise.... her play time with me always involved me scrubbing somewhere with her. #PARENTINGSKILLS"

What will she be doing this New Year’s Eve?

"Carlo is usually always working during the festive season, so I tend to tag along wherever he goes! I can't complain though, it's always a good time surrounded by our friends and great music."

How about New Years Resolutions? Will she be making any?

"I always do and they are the normal ones that everyone mentions... gym, diet, go on a tropical vacation... THIS YEAR I'M NOT MAKING ANY! It will save me the disappointment at the end of the year when I'll have to admit that I haven't stuck to any of them."

Looking ahead to 2019, Valentina plans to...

"...make more time for my family and friends! With the busy life I chose, sometimes it's easy to drift away from the ones you really care about, so this year, that is one of the main things I want to change for the better AND FOR MYSELF REALLY! I'm always so happy when I'm surrounded by them and they make me forget all about the stressful life we live. SO CHEERS TO MORE VINO & CHEESE WITH THE PEOPLE I LOVE."
