Gravity defying! Acrobatic dancers to perform on the Grandmaster’s Palace FACADE
You read that right...

Malta – we’re in for an unusual treat! Groundbreaking Italian performance company Il Posto will be putting on a fantastic performance at St George’s Square this weekend, and it’s nothing like you’ve ever experienced before!

The company of acrobatic dancers will be performing on a stage that's somewhat different to what we're used to. They will be swinging from the walls of the iconic Grandmaster’s Palace, performing the art of danza verticale (vertical dancing). The piece is called Full Wall, and is comprised of a selection of Il Posto’s most successful choreographies.

So, what is vertical dancing?

The acrobats swing in perpendicular movements against the wall, establishing a different (and totally cool) relation with space. The music for each show is different; personalised for each space, and is usually a combination of saxophone and electronic music.

They have performed around the world in locations such as Singapore, Brazil, Finland, Portugal, Denmark, France, Botswana, and now... Malta! They'll be putting on shows on 21st, 22nd and 23rd December at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm, as part of the Valletta 2018 cultural programme.

Head over to Valletta this weekend to experience a breath-taking performance like no other!
