Gozo’s first ever crochet Christmas tree is bringing extra festive cheer this holiday season
Well done!

Jillian Mallia

We all need some extra Christmas cheer this holiday season after the year we’ve had and this group of women are doing just that. The Gozo Crafty Ladies group have been working hard at crocheting over 100 lap blankets to create the islands’ first ever crochet Christmas tree!

Named the ‘Tree of Hope,’ this fun and unique Christmas tree was made with absolute love by the group of volunteers, one of the members said in the Women For Women Facebook Group. The lap blankets were sewn together to cover the entire tree that will be lit up in Kercem on Sunday 29th November.

And that’s not all! After Christmas, the blankets will be donated to various causes around Malta and Gozo. Hearts of gold!

If you’re in Gozo this weekend, don’t forget to pop by to see the tree lit up!
