The Maltese fashion scene is at an all-time high, and we've only just caught our breath after this year's dazzling Malta Fashion Week! We had our eye on a few pieces on the runway, and now that the dust's settled, it's time to snap them up.
Here are just a few things on our wishlist that would go nicely in our dream summer capsule collection. There's something for every occasion!
ISLE&AQUA - Metallic bikini
Just like every girl needs a Little Black Dress, one must have a metallic bikini! Add a bit of star-quality to the poolside with an ISLE&AQUA bandeau two-piece, which can take you from day to night with a pair of ripped denim shorts, a spritz of perfume and your favourite heels for a night of summer clubbing.
Parascandalo - Eyeconic t-shirt
You can never have too many t-shirts, and we can see this olive number from the latest collection - Eyeconic - working hard in our wardrobes. Go full throttle and pair it with luxe sportswear and some rainbow mirrored '80s sunnies for maximum impact. Who said t-shirts were just for jeans?
Yana's Jewellery - Feather earrings
When these babies walked down the runway at this year's Malta Fashion Week, they stunned. We never knew we needed shoulder grazing earrings! Now that we've seen them, we can't wait to rock them at cocktail hour. Très tribal chic.
Carla Grima - Silk Dress
This citrusy number just screams Mediterranean living. We'd pair it with some cat-eye shades and a headscarf for long seafood lunches and zipping around the coast on a Vespa, if we had one.
Saz Mifsud - Printed Bag
We love all of Saz Mifsud's new collection of roundie-printed leather bags, but this has to be our fave. Where do we start! The beaded strap, the tropical colours, the artistic painterly style...We would pair this with white linen maxi-dresses for sightseeing, and that purple would just pop! We can definitely see this parrot becoming our new best friend.
Didi Mizzi - Halterneck Dress
A swirly-wirly silky summer dream dress! The flash of gorgeous turquoise evokes memories of Comino's Blue Lagoon, and this versatile sarong/dress hybrid can be tied into a backless number to show of those bronzed shoulders. We'd wear this out for dinner with girlfriends, before moving on to a fancy beach party. Summer, we j'adore you!
