Give back this Christmas and donate a reverse advent calendar to Malta’s Foodbank Lifeline
Be someone’s lifeline this Christmas.

Jillian Mallia

Foodbank Lifeline has shared a great way of giving back to the community this festive season. The team is once again proposing a reverse advent calendar that you can create and donate to the lifeline at the end of the month.

How does it work?

“There's nothing quite like keeping traditions! Simply grab a box or a shopping bag and place one non-perishable food item in it for 24 days (from the 1st December till the 24th) and you'll have created a complete Reverse Advent Calendar!” Foodbank shares on socials, even sharing a suggested shopping list for items to keep in mind for the reverse advent calendar when doing your next shop.

When you're done, you can drop off your box at any one of these locations:

Zanzi Homes HQ, Standard House, Birkirkara Hill, St. Julians
Quicklets & Zanzi Homes Naxxar, Trejqet l-Iklin Naxxar
Quicklets HQ, 157A, Triq it-Torri Sliema
Quicklets & Zanzi Homes 216 Triq Marina, L-Imsida
Quicklets, Constitution Street, Mosta
Quicklets & Zanzi Homes Luxol, St. Andrew's Road, Swieqi

Donate today!

Malta’s foodbank is always accepting monetary and food donations as supplies have taken a hit since many families were affected by COVID-19. If you don’t have time to put together a box, don’t afford it, are in quarantine, or for some reason or other cannot leave the house but still want to make a difference, there are different ways of getting involved.

1. Donate your Greens Supermarket Loyalty Points

2. Donate your Lava Rewards accrued money

3. Send an sms to: 5062 7386 (€2.33) or 5061 7912 (€4.66) or 5061 8938 (€6.99)

4. Drop off items in the Food Collection Trolley at Sliema’s Tower Supermarket in collaboration with Mimici Foundation

5. Donate via bank transfer (check out their details here)

6. Check out collection boxes at Valyou (Naxxar and Mellieha), Smart (Birkirkara) and Pama (Mosta).

Let’s all do our part this Christmas.

2nd December 2020
