A Wonderland for all to enjoy

The Valletta Waterfront will be transformed into a gorgeous wonderland to get you into the holiday spirit. This historic location will be kicking off this year’s festivities with a tree lighting ceremony at 7pm on Saturday 30th November, welcoming the start of the Christmas season in style.

Throughout the month of December, Valletta Waterfront will take a Christmas Village look with a mix of festive décor, music, food and free activities that are sure to make your visit a vibrant and memorable one.

One of the main attractions is an incredible Christmas tree towering over 35 feet, which has been set up in the central part of the promenade. Right next to it is Santa’s House and Workshop, as well as an Enchanted Snow Garden which children are invited to visit to take a peek into Santa’s world.

A variety of free activities are planned during the Christmas season, including festive marching bands, children's choirs, a miniature Christmas village, traditional Maltese cribs and more. And get this! Santa, together with his helpers, will be available for photo opportunities, along with a giant Nutcracker along the promenade that will bring patrons good luck for the new year.

Little guests can also post their letter to Santa at a designated letterbox until the 19th December, with a guaranteed response if a return postal address is provided. Hear that, kids? You’ll get a reply from Santa himself!

Children’s activities

Just like the rest of the year, children can enjoy free entertainment on weekends and public holidays during the month of December. Activities to look forward to include: face painting, crafts, games, colouring-in, meet & greets with all-time favourite characters, bouncy castles and more.

Fun for adults

While the kids are occupied, the adults can wind down at the 12 catering outlets located along the Valletta Waterfront promenade, which provide a variety of dining experiences for the family. The outlets also cater for any type of event or party, which you're bound to have many of this holiday season.
