Friday 23rd April: One person passes away as Malta registers 33 new cases
The Health Ministry has just published official figures.

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 33 new cases of COVID-19 after 1,804 swabs were done in the past 24 hours. 

The islands have registered 38 more recoveries, bringing the total recovery tally to 29,204 and the number of active cases to 513. Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 30,129 cases and has performed 855,090 swab tests. Another death was registered in the past 24 hours: a 93-year-old female unfortunately passed away, bringing the total tally to 412.

The post also noted that until yesterday, 22nd April, 301,594 vaccine doses have been administered to various people on the islands. 96,631 of these were second doses.
