Friday 16th October: Malta records 122 new cases & 36 recoveries of COVID-19
This surpasses yesterday’s record 112 cases.

According to the figures published by the Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, Malta has registered 122 new cases of COVID-19 after 2882 swabs were done in the past 24 hours. This follows yesterday’s 112 cases, marking a new record for Malta.

Superintendent of Public Health Charmaine Gauci will address a press conference today to discuss these cases.

The islands have registered 36 more recoveries, bringing the total recovery tally to 3142 and the number of active cases to 1095. Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 4282 cases and has performed 292,476 swab tests.
