Miles into Memories founder David Gladwish is a self-proclaimed lover of the great outdoors, and he’s been sharing that contagious passion with others in Malta, and beyond, for years. If it’s a trek around the islands that you’re after, he organises many throughout any given month, along with more gruelling sessions in preparation for tougher overseas treks.

This adventure group prides itself on bringing like-minded people together with a thirst for adventure and a willingness to explore new places, especially in and around the Maltese islands’ country and coastal routes.

3. Leisure Ventures

Leisure Ventures goes a step beyond an appreciation for the outdoors – this group is also keen to share knowledge about Malta’s countryside and to educate fellow hikers about the environment, all in good company and with some incredible views to boot.

4. Ramblers Malta

This NGO, officially known as The Ramblers’ Association of Malta, organises walks and treks on an almost bi-weekly basis, and besides taking ramblers on jaw-droppingly scenic routes, it’s also heavily involved in the protection of Malta’s countryside.

5. Malta Treks & Explore

These trekking enthusiasts traverse the islands all year round for fun and often challenging walks. Some of their hikes rack up a whopping 45km of walking, spread over 10 hours from one point of Malta to another. Challenge accepted!

6. Trail Makers

Trail Makers' founder Giovanni Camilleri has a passion for adventure and a zest for life which he loves to share with fellow trekkers. Besides frequently organising nature trails around the islands, he also enthuses people and prepares them for harder treks beyond our shores.

As one of the oldest NGOs dealing with the natural environment in Malta, Nature Trust (Malta) is committed to conserving the island's boon, while promoting environmental awareness. This NGO also knows some of the best places for organised group walks all over the islands.

8. MC Adventure
