What Moves Between Us is the second exhibition by axis_ art gallery, bringing together 12 artists to explore what passes between people, bodies, environments, memory, and lived experience. Curated by Elyse Tonna, the exhibition considers how identity is formed not in isolation, but through relationships, encounters, inherited experiences, and the places and communities that surround us.

Working across diverse artistic practices, the participating artists reflect on themes including personal histories, care, ecological connections, inherited knowledge, memory, and absence. Rather than offering a single interpretation, What Moves Between Us invites visitors to consider how the things we receive, carry, leave behind, and pass on continue to influence both ourselves and those around us.

Set within The Butlers House in Attard, the exhibition offers a thoughtful exploration of human connection and the often unseen relationships that become part of who we are. What Moves Between Us opens at axis_ on 3 September 2026 at 7:30pm and runs until 15 November 2026 as per the below opening hours. The launch is open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend.
