This classic story is brought to life in a contemporary dance performance which is sure to create memorable moments for everyone.The Nutcracker was the last of the three ballets composed by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and was first performed in December 1892 at the Imperial Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg, Russia. In this ballet you will meet Clara, the Mouse King, the Nutcracker Prince, the snowflakes, the dolls that come to life, the Arabian and Russian dancers, the merlitons and of course the Sugar Plum Fairy.The Nutcracker has become the most frequently performed of all ballets and has served as an introduction to classical music for many young people.
