Found ă mentalism II is inspired by Picasso’s words about his famous Guernica; “[…] an artist who lives and works with spiritual values cannot behave indifferently when faced with a conflict in which the highest values of humanity and civilization are at risk”.
Found ă mentalism II is ensured to invite thinking and change-making, and to ensure that art carries the spirit of Picasso’s words forward; we can be anything but indifferent to conflicts and struggles around us. Through the project, a perspective is suggested and a possibility for a more positive future.
Found ă mentalism II heralds the growth of a diverse cultural, political and economic European society. Global conflict and increasing migration flows provide an opportunity for art to act against a potential for violence, and to embrace cultural diversity and tolerance. Found ă mentalism II proposes a journey through a European culture that is simultaneously common and diverse. The event raises the question if art can come to act as the mutual support between these diverse cultures, and if it can provide a remedy for current societal crises.
