Attention all restaurants and foodies! Malta Tourism Authority has announced the date when Michelin will be launching the second edition of the Malta Michelin Guide.

On 9th April, Michelin “will announce the list of restaurants that made it in this year’s edition,” MTA said on social media today.

“The new Michelin Guide recognises the outstanding restaurants, breadth of cuisine styles and culinary skills found in Malta, Gozo and Comino. Established in the late 19th century, Michelin has maintained its benchmark of international food for more than 120 years, recognising some of the greatest restaurants in the world.”

Last year, three local restos got one Michelin Star: Valletta’s Noni, de Mondion in Mdina and Under Grain also in Valletta. Three other restaurants were awarded the Bib Gourmand, while another 20 were given a Michelin Plate. Who will be on this year’s list? We’ll soon find out!
