Calling all film lovers! Two productions are currently being film in Malta & Gozo
The local film industry has been kicking the pandemic where it hurts, safely continuing with productions, including international ones!
In a press release, the Malta Film Commission shared that the local film industry has soldiered on during the difficult times that the COVID-19 pandemic has presented.

Film Commissioner Johann Grech visited the set of two productions currently being filmed on the islands, one of which is being filmed on the sister isle of Gozo. The two productions are a Swedish Reality Show and an English series. The two productions are being filmed in their entirety on the islands, the film commission said.
Grech shared that these productions will add €3 million to the local economy. “In total, these productions will be spending about 40 days on the islands while creating about 100 job opportunities. We’re working to create a sustainable industry where we can guarantee jobs for many not for the few.”

The Film Commissioner also noted that our glorious islands are also attracting productions from new sectors from all over the world. “Together, thanks to the collaboration and work of the industry and its stakeholders, we’re creating an Industry of World Class Films, and at the same time, assuring that our country moves on from being a seasonal location to one that has back to back productions.”

Stunning locations that are set to be featured in these productions are a villa in Gozo, Bingemma, Slugs Bay, Ghar Lapsi, il-Mizieb and the Riviera bay.
