Calling all 8 to 15-year-olds! This is your chance to be part of St John’s Co-Cathedral’s children’s choir
Cool stuff!

Are you (or do you know) 8 to 15 years of age and have a knack for singing? We’ve got just the thing! St John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation has announced the formation of a children’s choir which will represent the Foundation both locally and abroad in international festivals and competitions.

“It’s a long-term, ambitious project which aims to set up a choir of an international level. A children’s choir, whereby the international status of this monument is also reflected in the standard and reputation of this new project,” says President of the Foundation, Wilfred Buttigieg.

Choir deets

The choir will be trained by leading local soprano Gillian Zammit, with sessions including vocal technique, choral singing, history of music, theory and sight-singing. Apart from obviously knowing how to sing, a requirement to being part of the choir is full commitment. Rehearsals will be held on Wednesdays from 5.30pm to 7.30pm from September to June.
