Promising to bring the essence of the bay right to our doorstep in the Med is a new joint on the block, Santa Cruz.

Located just off The Strand in Gzira, Santa Cruz Bistro & Tapas looks set to kick off a whole lotta new food trends! From bar bites to full on mains including Cali themed menu items such as Compton Ribs, house smoked and smothered in homemade BBQ sauce, to American style burgers, loaded hotdogs, breakfast pancakes and waffles, as well as some innovative salads and vegan options, we can’t wait to sample Santa Cruz’s selection. (We also think their bacon doughnuts are going to cause quite a stir in the local food scene!) 

As well as full-blown meals, Santa Cruz is set to be the perfect place to catch up with friends over a cocktail and some bar bites outside of the regular tapas offerings, meaning you can sample much more of the menu instead of committing to one main meal! 

The interior in this new joint follows through with the modern downtown vibe, with clean concrete, steel and beechwood benches making a strong appearance. Santa Cruz is highly Instagrammable!

We love to see funky new establishments popping up, and we can’t wait to hang out and play Valley Girls in the heart of Gzira!
