Lesti ruħek (be prepared), as we say in Maltese, because heavy rain and possible thunderstorms are expected to hit Malta and Gozo this coming weekend!

The bad weather is due to “an upper-level trough [that is moving] towards Libya with heavy, thundery rain showers associated with it,” reports Malta Weather. Locals are a little disappointed with this forecast which may ruin their weekend plans, including attending the popular feast of San Martin!

Not to worry, though! The bad weather won’t be here for long. Clear skies are forecasted for early next week.
