If you’re heading out on Friday night, you might want to note that part of Vjal il-Labour in Naxxar will be closed between 8:30pm and 5:00am.

This means there will be no access to Naxxar from the Mosta Technopark roundabout and vice versa.

Million euro project

Infrastructure Malta made the announcement via social media, saying that the disruption is all part of a €1 million junction project that’s under way in the area. Alternative routes from Lija and Mosta are suggested.

Infrastructure Malta also promises that once the work is finished, we’ll have better paths and pedestrian crossings, a new roundabout junction for safer access to nearby residential areas, as well as an upgraded underground water and electricity system - all pluses, right?

Internet and other telecom networks are also being updated, and an extensive storm system - hooray!
