Lauda Europe and Malta Air will be operating the flights.
The Malta International Airport has just tempted us with two new holiday destinations, after welcoming the first of many direct flights from Zagreb, Croatia and Parma, Italy.
Flights to Zagreb and Parma will be operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout winter by Lauda Europe and Malta Air respectively. Both airlines are part of Ryanair Holidings.
Italy is one of Malta International Airport’s most popular markets, whilst the Zagreb route is the first direct link between our islands and Croatia.
Zagreb, that is, Croatia’s capital, is characterised by red-roofed buildings, narrow cobbled streets, and grand architecture dating back to the times of the Habsburg.
The city brims with charm and activity all year round, and as Christmas rolls around, you can expect it to ooze festive spirit.
On the other hand, if you love wine and all things artisinal, Parma is the way to go.
This city prides itself in its iconic Lambrusco wine, Parmesan cheese, and of course, prosciutto. Parma also offers visitors some incredible historical monuments, such as the Romanesque Cathedral, Palazzo della Pilotta, and Teatro Farnese.
The city’s also just an hour-long train ride away from some other great holiday destinations like Bologna and Modena.
Do you plan on making use of these two new routes?
