American TikToker Sam Tsui and his husband Casey Breves recently embarked on a mission to sing a song from every single country around the world.

Earlier this week, it was time for Sam and Casey to sing a song from our very own islands – and they certainly did not disappoint by opting for The Tramps’ classic hit ‘Xemx’.

@thesamtsui In the beautiful and fascinating #maltese language comes #xemx by #thetramps from #malta #maltatiktok #malta🇲🇹 #malteselanguage #maltesemusic #internationalmusic #internationalsongs #global #singers #newmusic #fyp #foryou ♬ original sound - Sam Tsui

The two sang in pretty good Maltese and their rendition of the song was nothing short of magical.

Without a doubt, ‘Xemx’ has become one of Malta’s favourite local songs – so much so that it’s downright impossible to attend a wedding, event, or party without hearing it getting played at some point.

Sam and Casey shared their cover of this timeless classic on their TikTok account, which boasts over 785 thousand followers.

Let’s hope this introduces a handful of foreigners to Maltese music!
