“A sad day for the tourism community in Malta” as it mourns the loss of Anna Lanczet

It’s a dark day for Malta’s tourism community as it has lost one of its own – Anna Lanczet. Anna was a MTA executive who worked hard in the field for over 20 years. Various people and entities shared tributes to their fallen friend.

“Our dear Anna Lanczet, Manager at the Product Development Unit of the Malta Tourism Authority, passed,” MTA Chairman Gavin Gulia shared on social media. “An MBA graduate, a dedicated and hardworking professional with more than 20 years experience in the tourism industry.

“She will be missed by all at MTA. As Chairman and on behalf of the Board of Directors, the Management Board and all the staff our sincerest condolences to her family and relatives. May God grant her eternal rest.”

The Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association also paid their respects with a post on socials. “Today it’s a sad day for the tourism community in Malta. MHRA pays tribute to the memory of Anna Lanczet, MTA executive, who will be remembered by all of us as a person full of passion for the work she loved most - that of promoting the beauty of our country to the rest of the world. Condolences to her family.... May God grant her eternal rest.
