6 spectacular spots to appreciate before the sun gets too hot on the Maltese Islands
Relish that fresh air!

Kristina Cassar Dowling

The summer heat is fast approaching and we’ll soon be hunting down the nearest ACed place to help bring our temperatures down from their current boiling state! The beauties of autumn and winter are often forgotten in the spring but there’s still some time left before the heatwaves hit!

Dingli Cliffs

The breeze, the walk across the garigue, the sneaky rest on a bench overlooking the view, and Filfla in the far distance. What could be better than a sunset trip to Dingli Cliffs this time of year? Chadwick Lakes

If you’ve got a dog, a child, or even a friend, you should head out on a walk to Chadwick Lakes. Granted the ‘lake’ might be slightly out of sight but the overall feeling in Chadwick Lakes is one of adventure - a magical trip with man’s best friend close by.

Buskett

Heading to Buskett is always a treat! This is the woodiest woodlands on the island and the number one destination to make any child’s dreams come true. Climb the trees, hang a hammock, play some footies and let your imagination run absolutely wild!

Wardija Hilltop

A great trek up this magnificent hill reveals a whole lot of seascape that’s pretty decent to look at. If you’re lucky, you'll make it to the top to find there’s no one there to disturb you - apart from your trekking clan that is!

Kennedy Grove

Picnics, bike rides, happy kids, laughing grown-ups, tonnes of food and the convenience of a fully equipped cafe. Kennedy Grove has seen quite a change from its earlier years and this spot should really be enjoyed before it gets too hot!

Xlendi Cliffs

Time to go to Gozo? Awesome! Head to Xlendi before all the tourists get there, work your way up the hidden staircase cut into the rocks on the right hand side of the bay and make your way to the top of the cliffs.
