Warning: you’re going to be glued to your sofa!

Your living room may be getting a little more attention in the coming months. Evenings by the sea may be too cold to bear, so unless you’re wrapped up and heading to a fancy restaurant, you’ll probably be hanging with your snuggie with a 55” screen to keep you entertained. Here are a few autumn vibes best translated to the small screen.

1. Six Feet Under

A melancholic take on a mortuary and the life of the owners of the estate. Follow Nate, David and Claire Fisher together with their mother Ruth as they keep a family business alive while facing death on a daily basis.

2. The Haunting of Hill House

New to Netflix and highly addictive. This is the tale of a house whose motive may not be like any other four-walled structure. The Cranes deal with addiction, nightmares, family feuds and insanity while Hill House summons them back to their forever home.

3. Doctor Who

Whether you’re a Doctor fan or not, you have to admit the idea is pretty awesome. If you’re willing to dig through years (we’re talking 11 series worth of content) of episodes to watch the story from the very beginning, you’re in for a super treat.

4. American Horror Story

Biased as it may seem… this is one of the most intelligently structured TV Shows created. With a connecting plot from season to season, this spooky script combines suspense, gore, betrayal and a whole lot of magic.

5. True Blood

Another awesome series focused on ancient vampires who’ve found an alternative to human blood, shapeshifters with a pretty decent motive, budding fairies with a beautiful scent and dark magic voodoo to keep things light.

These scary shows are best enjoyed with a freaked out friend who’ll jump off their seat with every door slammed. Break the monotony with a brisk walk around the block - you will probably need a walking buddy after watching these shows though!
