The Maltese man who contracted Covid-19 and died in India has been identified as Ivan Barbara. According to reports, the 47-year-old passed away before take-off. He, along with his 42-year-old wife, Rosanne and their adopted daughter, was meant to fly back today.

Rosanne had also tested positive for the virus but her condition got better. Ivan, however, was being treated at a hospital in New Delhi and his conditioned worsened. The couple travelled to India in March to go ahead with the adoption process of their daughter.
